In his drawn-out case battle, Usher Raymond is reportedly pleading with a judge to seal his and his accuser’s medical records after two women and one man filed legal action against him for infecting them with herpes and failed to inform them that he had the STD beforehand.
According to the court documents obtained by The Blast, Usher begged the judge to seal his medical records to prevent them from being shared publicly across social media. The 40-year-old singer-songwriter argues that his records contain previously held diagnoses that are not relevant to the case.
Usher also claims that his motion to seal his records will also benefit one of his accusers as he is requesting their records be sealed as well. “[There’s] no gray area that allows for the revelation of some of Jane Doe’s personal information without compromising her privacy rights,” he wrote in the documents. “Any public exposure of her private information could result in significant harm to Jane Doe.”
As such, Usher is asking a Los Angeles court to make his accuser, identified only as “Jane Doe,” pay him $2,500 in sanctions regarding the case, The Blast reports. The judge has yet to make a decision on the Grammy-award winning artist’s request. You can read more here>
