Sometimes it’s hard to pinpoint when a zodiac sign is lying to you, but we can all admit to telling harmless to serious lies to either make ourselves look good or get off scot-free from what could have been a bad situation.

Here’s how you can avoid getting caught in a zodiac’s trap.

AQUARIUS (January 20 – February 18)

Aquarius aims to let you believe that he’s a great friend that he’d never stoop low as to lie to your face, but that’s a bald-faced lie. For him, every lie comes with a justification, which means that, in his eyes, it’s okay to do it.

When Aquarius lies, he becomes even more aloof than he is. He’ll be pretty vague with the details because he hasn’t put any thought into keeping his lies believable.

PISCES (February 19 – March 20)

Pisces comes in two categories (scared and defensive). When approaching a Pisces, you are going to either get one of two things: A scared Pisces or a Pisces that lashes out at you. Either way, it’s a lot to handle.

A Pisces lies can be very convincing, so when he’s caught in a lie, he might try to blame you or get angry and revert to past issues that don’t have anything to do with the current situation.

ARIES (March 21 – April 19)

Aries tries to hold the title for “trust”. When he starts lying to you, he wants to make it seem as believable as possible. You can tell Aries is lying to you because he starts to act really vague. For example: If he starts to say a lot of, “I forgot” or “Ummm” to you, just know he’s lying.

TAURUS (April 20 – May 20)

Taurus is pretty cut-and-dry. He’s not into fluff or details when he tells his fairy-tales. So when he lies, he tries to remain nonchalant and normal as possible. If you call a Taurus out on his bull-sh-t, you’ll see his stubborn side. He’ll probably get frustrated and say, “No, I’m not lying to you…” before repeating the same story, using the same details over and over again. This is what you call a well-rehearsed lie!

GEMINI (May 21 – June 20)

Geminis are straight-up liars. So if you’re wondering whether a Gemini is either lying or being honest, always go along with the lie because if he’s not, then you’re in for a pleasant surprise. And if he is, then you can say you saw it coming.

CANCER (June 21 – July 22)

The good politician! A Cancer actually aims to make his lies convincing and can be pretty persuasive. He can get pretty comfortable in thinking that he’s being persuasive, which can make his lies seem more unconvincing. Before you go believing, check his facts because there’s a good chance he’s lying.

LEO (July 23 – August 22)

Leos are very confident beings, so it’s common for him to get caught in his bed of lies. When he gets too confident, it turns into arrogance and then you really see what Leo is like when he’s not being truthful. In general, if you feel suspicious, he’s probably lying.

VIRGO (August 23 – September 22)

Virgos are a very thorough and detailed zodiac sign, which is definitely a good quality to have, but when it comes to lying, it just makes everything more complicated. When you’re telling the truth, you don’t have to think too hard, and Virgos tend to give too many details and creates a theatrical scene to go along! Less is definitely more.

LIBRA (September 23 – October 22)

Libras hate the aftermath of lying, but clearly not enough for it to make him stop lying. Libra will lie if it makes people like him more, and if caught in the act, he’ll avoid you by all means necessary.

Libra doesn’t like confrontations nor owning up to his mistakes, so he’s most likely going to avoid your text messages and phone calls for as long as humanly possible.

SCORPIO (October 23 – November 21)

Scorpios are self-proclaimed bosses and well-known manipulators. Scorpio likes to preach honesty but he seems to have no problem lying to his friends and family if it helps him to stay in control.

It’s super easy to tell when a Scorpio is lying to you because he’ll get defensive if you try to undermine his story. He’ll also get unreasonably angry when you ask him an innocent question.

SAGITTARIUS (November 22 – December 21)

Sagittarius are well-known liars, they will lie to your face and get away with it by covering their bases.

Don’t get me wrong, a Sagittarius can be brutally honest, but it’s not hard for him to lie with ease and that makes it scary.

Sagittarius will first start by showing you his honest side and make you believe he’s the most god fairing man to walk this planet. Don’t fall for it. You are so used to seeing him speak, but while his mouth is doing all the lying, his body language is what trips him up!

CAPRICORN (December 22 – January 19)

Capricorn doesn’t like to lie because he believes that he is above all the drama that comes with lying. That doesn’t mean he won’t lie. It just means that he prefers not to. Capricorn doesn’t care if the truth hurts and will hurt your feelings by just telling you like it is (the truth).
